Thanks to the Washington Post for continuing its excellent coverage of the Civil War Sesquicentennial. Here’s a link to the latest edition of the Post’s Civil War 150, which focuses on technological innovation during the conflict and the mayhem it caused. There is also a defense of General McClellan’s conduct of the Penninsular Campaign that would have curled the hair of Editor Cleveland of the Chronicle. The Post has also recently reviewed a new book about General Grant’s harassment of Jewish merchants, highlighting a little-known aspect of the conflict.
